Settings Reference
Complete list of Pewit AI Media Toolkit settings and what they do.
Pewit AI Media Toolkit → Settings
API & model
| Setting | Description |

| OpenAI API Key | Your sk-… key. Must Save & Test before generation. |
| Model | Vision model for metadata (default gpt-4o-mini). |
| Generation mode | Balanced / SEO / WCAG. |
Metadata fields
Toggle which fields AI may write: ALT, title, caption, description.
Context & language
| Setting | Description |

| Global context | Site niche, tone, vocabulary — appended to prompts. |
| Language mode | Auto (WPML/Polylang/locale) or forced global language. |
| Usage mode | Strict / Balanced / Debug — how aggressively to detect image usage. |
Scan filters
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Only used images | Skip unattached uploads in scan. |
| Hide skipped in list | Cleaner UI. |
| Ignore small images | Below min width/height (default 200px). |
| Ignore SVG / icons | Skip non-photographic assets. |
Performance

| Batch size | Items per cron tick (metadata jobs). |
| Batch delay | Seconds between batches. |
| Items per page | Images table pagination. |
SEO filename options

| Update URL references in content | Off by default — risky global replace. |
| Regenerate thumbnails | After rename/replace. |
| Clear WooCommerce cache | After file change. |
| Update attachment title | Match new filename. |
| Max filename length | Truncate long slugs. |
Email notifications
Enable finish/failure emails, recipient, report level, CSV attachment, filename change list, minimum duration.
Featured image AI
Enable panel, model, size, style preset, custom style prompt, metadata on new image, auto on publish, bulk fill missing posts.
Safety & backups

White-label (Agency only)

Saving
Save settings persists all fields. Changing API key resets verified flag until Save & Test.
